Family Programs Worker


Community West Family Programs include the Children's Contact Service which operates weekends to assist children spend time with a parent/other family members post separation/family breakdown. Family Programs also facilitate educational and psychodynamic group work programs for infants, children,mothers/carers where the children have been exposed to family violence. Educationsl post separation parenting group work is provided that focuses on how ongoing conflict impacts upon children's well-being.
The successful applicant will be a professional who has wide experience supervising a team of workers in the Children's Contact Service and relevant experience in facilitating group work. The position is part-time for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and each alternate fortnight Friday afternoon/evening, Saturday and Sunday afternoon evening. Generous penalty rates are paid for the weekend work and salary packaging is available. The person appointed will join a team includingtwo Family Program Leaders, a full time Manager and an experienced team of weekend professionals working in the Children's Contact Service. Community West is an extremely supportive workplace. The program has recently received an exemplary result via an external independent audit assessment process examining the agency's compliance with the major funding body approval requirement standards. The successful applicant will join a committed team who work towards achieving continuous quality improvement initiatives.
